After a pretty hectic summer and autumn The Ski Lodge team are now settled into their new home in Cardiff Bay. Jason Jeffery tells us about the journey.
THE COOL STORE
It's been a big challenge to bring all of the good points of the original store into the new location and build upon these, but we're all really excited now and ready for the winter season. The store is stocked with the latest fall/winter collections, and experienced staff are on hand to guide you through the ranges, translate the techy jargon or just to chat about your favourite resort.
The new location is a great step forward for us. The links alone are so much better, making it a lot easier for customers to visit us. We're right next to one of the main routes into Cardiff now and we are currently open late until 7pm from Monday to Thursday.
Moving into Cardiff is a really positive move for us. The plan was always to bring The Ski Lodge to a much wider audience and also to expand our product mix to suit a more diverse customer base in the future.
We're working really hard to add products that we may not have been able to offer in the past. We continue to offer a huge range from the world's leading brands, but have increased our inventory in a number of key areas. Our range of accessories and leisurewear has certainly expanded with watches from Breo and audio wear from Skull Candy, among others, being added this winter. We have an incredible collection of women's accessories from Barts, in particular, ranging from footwear to earmuffs and scarves to handbags.
On the technical side, we are offering more crossover products like lightweight waterproof shell jackets and layers that can be worn for a variety of activities both on and off the slopes. All supplied by legendary brands such as The North Face, Salomon and - new for us this year - Under Armour. If you are looking for technical snow kit, fashionable furry footwear and anything in between, The Ski Lodge should be your destination of choice.
