JOHN CALE
Former member of the Velvet Underground Cale became one of the few people from Wales to truly make it into the rock premiere league of the 1970s. Signed to Island Records after the break up of the Velvets he produced such classic albums as "Paris 1919" and "Fear". Now aged 70 John Cale OBE is the elder statesman of Welsh rock yet still finds time to produce cutting edge music such as his "Extra Playful" EP released in 2011 and will release an album on Domino Records in 2012.
