The summer has finally arrived and with it has come the sun! Hurray! So some of you will be taking holidays soon and others will be planning trips to the beach or just sunbathing in the garden. The one thing you'll all be needing is a swimsuit - that goes for the gentlemen too! So, for this fashion feature we've chosen some of the best beach wear from the high street and some independent online suppliers.

The big theme with swimwear for the ladies this season is vintage styled suits. Keep an eye out for these as they are very flattering on all sizes. Or if vintage isn't you, go for something bold and floral. That's very much on trend this summer. For men, bright and bold patterned trunks are everywhere, so be brave and show off your fun side in a pair of these.
Obviously you can't just wear a bathing suit all the time so we've also found a selection of summer accessories to wear too. Try donning a trilby or straw hat (that goes for men too!), a pair of comfy espadrilles or flip flops, an ethnic kaftan or comfy loose tshirt, some aviator shades or catseye sunnies, and don't forget the big beach bag to pack it all in! But, most of all, wear stuff you're comfortable with, enjoy yourself and, of course, don't forget to put the lotion in the basket!
