On Saturday 20th September, Eve Appeal Cymru will be hosting their second annual fundraising dinner at the National Museum of Wales. The glamorous event will include a drinks reception, three-course dinner, live jazz music and a charity raffle and auction — the proceeds of which will fund the Eve Appeal’s groundbreaking research into gynaecological cancers.

Known as the silent killer, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed too late for effective treatment, with a shocking 5000 of the 7000 women diagnosed each year in the UK dying from the disease.

Coming soon

Many friends and family have suggested I write my own story in the magazine because it might help others.

Shortly after my son Jack was born in 1999 I began having health problems which, eventually, led to me being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

Despite being told by doctors that my condition was incurable, I found a treatment that worked and after nine years of pain and being bedridden, I am now working (and training) again.

I have 'buddied' several people over rcent years and helped them to get on the road to recovery also.

Watch this space. It should be up in the next few weeks.
